Divisions
The AFCESA staff is made up of about 400 experts in civil engineering and civil engineer support. The agency has six divisions: Readiness Support, Facility Energy Center, Operations and Programs Support, Contract Support, Field Support, and Mission Support.

The Readiness Support Division(CEX) provides readiness support to the civil engineer community through technical information and standardized methodology, enabling civil engineers worldwide to execute their expeditionary combat support and emergency services missions safely, effectively and efficiently.
The division also operates the AFCESA Reach-Back Center, which provides rapid response to questions from civil engineers in the field, nationwide. |

The Air Force Facility Energy Center (CEN) provides expert technical and legal facility energy support to Air Force installations and Major Commands, and centrally manage Air Force Facility Energy and Utilities Privatization programs in order to comply with all applicable Executive, Legislative, and Agency policies and directives. |

The Operations and Programs Support Division (CEO) develops and applies the best management practices, mission-oriented training systems, facility/infrastructure standards, expert engineering guidance and consultation, and airfield pavements evaluations to improve base civil engineer capabilities. |

The Contract Support
Division (CEK) provides responsive, high-quality, cost-effective, and customer-focused sustainment, restoration, and modernization (S/R&M) project execution, labor support contract services, and contingency contract support and execution to customers worldwide. |

The Field Support Division (CEM), known as the Civil Engineer Maintenance, Inspection and Repair Team (CEMIRT), provides field support to civil engineers worldwide with intermediate maintenance and overhaul capability of power production, electrical distribution and aircraft arresting systems, as well as expert support for utility monitoring and controls systems and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems during peacetime, contingency, and emergency response operations. CEMIRT has the capability to deploy mobile teams to support power requirements of contingency operations and natural disasters worldwide.
The division has regional offices located at Tyndall AFB, Fla. and Travis AFB, Calif. |

The Mission Support Division (CEB) enables and enhances AFCESA's readiness, energy and operations core competencies through a full spectrum of mission support; delivering implementable strategic planning; financial and human resource stewardship; reliable and transparent information management; focused strategic communications; civil engineer history and consolidated campus management and planning.
Mission Support also publishes the civil engineer flagship publication, Air Force Civil Engineer magazine. |
